Chick Loves Lit Blogoversary Carnival

Shanyn at Chick Loves Lit is celebrating her two-year blogoversary, and to celebrate she's hosting a carnival. Head over to her blog Tuesday to join in on the fun—giveaways from a lot of great blogs.

Here at Anna Reads, you can celebrate by winning a copy of my favoritest book EVAR. We're talking about Pride & Prejudice here, people! Did you see my post earlier this week on Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg? I realized so many of you hadn't read this Jane Austen novel (THE novel, in my opinion), so it was time to rectify the situation.

Now, pardon the Twilight-themed cover. Ick...not that I don't love Twilight, but it just doesn't do the story justice.

Not sure you want to read a classic? Oh ho ho, hold up one moment. Check out these videos.

Convinced yet? YEAH, YOU ARE. Wet and Darcy-licious. Sign up here to win a brand new copy of Pride & Prejudice! U.S. only; contest ends at 12 a.m. on March 22.

  1. LOVE those two scenes. In the newest version they're so close. Being a 21st century girl, I always want him to kiss her. I'm going to have to make a date with P&P sometimes soon. I just love it.

  3. EEEEH :) So squeeing right now :) I just finished watching the Colin Firth version for the second time...so beautiful, and not just him! I completely agree, this is THE novel (along with, perhaps, Jane Eyre, and other Austen books). Such great stuff!

  5. I'm reading this right now Anna! It's on my Kindle (I'm 20% finished) and the formatting is horrible and it's difficult to read, so I'm going to head to the library soon (my daughter is sick so who knows when) and get a real paper copy!

  6. Haven't read it either, but I want to. Pick me. My classics reading is shallow, but I lived Wuthering Heights & Jane Eyre.

Not entering because I own like 4 copies, but hehehe! Wet and Darcy-licious! I loved the remake of P&P. *whispers* more than the one with CF.

  13. Don't enter me either--I'm more of a Jane Eyre kind of a girl (doesn't mean I own less than 3 copies of P&P :D)... but I do LOVE that scene from the Knightley movie, I think I'm in the minority group of women over 30 who prefer that version :) heehee!
