In My Mailbox 8

"In My Mailbox" is a weekly post hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren about what new books we got in the mail (or library or whatever) this week.

I finally got Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken at the library, after requesting it ages ago.

Then...I couldn't help myself. I went back to my closing Borders for the third time to check out the clearance merchandise. I picked up a copy of Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen for a giveaway. Come back on Tuesday for a chance to win! And...I've been wanting my own copy of Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott since I've read it a few years ago. Have any of you read this? Love it!

I also got quite a few this week from the kind folks at NetGalley: Hereafter by Tara Hudson, The Last Little Blue Envelope by Maureen Johnson, Girl Wonder by Alexa Martin and Mercy by Rebecca Lim.

  1. I started picking up a few Elizabeth Scott books since I'll be meeting her next month. Guess I should pick up this one too? & I love that cover of P&P!

P.S. I'm jealous you got accepted for Hereafter. They denied me TWICE for it! wtf?

  4. I'm actually a little sad about the new covers they came out with for that group of classics. They remind me too much of the Twilight series :/ But yay for all your NetGalley books. Love Netgalley.

  6. Awesome books from Netgalley! I just got approved for Bumped and I'm currently reading The Vespertine, which is really good so far. The Borders that is closing near me isn't having very good sales but I did get Sister's Red, The Iron Witch and Changeless for 15% off I think. I might stop in there again once the sales get better (like 40%). Enjoy your new books!
