  2. I don't have any of these on my list, but I heard Anna Dressed in Blood and Ashes are seriously creepy and good.

    I loved Cryer's Cross. And I'm dying to read The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Replacement!

    Great Top Ten picks! I love how you separated them by paranormal entities!

  3. I have The Replacement and Name of the Star on my list too and totally agree that The Forest of Hands and Teeth is one very creepy tale that left me very depressed after reading it. Need to try Cryer's Cross. Great list!

  5. Cryer's Cross was a very MEH experience for me, but maybe you'll like it more.

    I fricken LOVED The Graveyard Book, it's beautifully written with great characterization.

    AND YAYYY for MEG FREAKIN CABOT :-D

  7. Great list! I really want to read Name of the Star. I love historical fiction; plus, Johnson is such a great author. I included Forest of Hands and Teeth on my list....zombies completely freak me out! I included Graveyard Book, too. Good idea adding The Body Finder to your list....not sure how I could have forgotten that one; it's one of my favorites!
