  1. Great picks! I put Glass Houses on my list too. I completely forgot about The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff but that's definitely a creepy one!

    Sarah's Shelf

  2. I don't have any of these on my list, but I heard Anna Dressed in Blood and Ashes are seriously creepy and good.

I loved Cryer's Cross. And I'm dying to read The Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Replacement!

Great Top Ten picks! I love how you separated them by paranormal entities!

Here is mine, if you'd like to check out my TTT list!

    Happy Halloween reading!

  3. I have The Replacement and Name of the Star on my list too and totally agree that The Forest of Hands and Teeth is one very creepy tale that left me very depressed after reading it. Need to try Cryer's Cross. Great list!

  4. I have Ashes and Shadowland ready to read! I love Halloween so I'm still deciding what books I want to read first.

My top ten is here if you'd like a look :)

  5. Cryer's Cross was a very MEH experience for me, but maybe you'll like it more.

I fricken LOVED The Graveyard Book, it's beautifully written with great characterization.

  6. I meant to read Cryer's Cross this month, but I'm not sure that's happening.. considering the month is over in a week & I still have about a million books to read!

  7. Great list! I really want to read Name of the Star. I love historical fiction; plus, Johnson is such a great author. I included Forest of Hands and Teeth on my list....zombies completely freak me out! I included Graveyard Book, too. Good idea adding The Body Finder to your list....not sure how I could have forgotten that one; it's one of my favorites!

  8. All great choices! Ashes is one of the scariest books I've read in years!

  9. I have Cryer's Cross but am afraid to read it!!! We have a lot of the same books :) great list!

  10. I will DEF be reading The Name of the Star this week - sounds so creepy!

  11. I really like how you included pictures! It helps add to the scariness of your list!

  12. The Forest of Hands and Teeth is one my list as well. I just started reading The Name of the Star today, really like it so far, I can see why it made your list!

  13. Ooh, what a lovely book list! The only one I've read is The Name of the Star, and I LOVED it.

  14. JESSE.
Also, I really need to read the rest of that series. Like NOW. I keep waiting for the second bindup, but WHY ISN'T IT RELEASED YET?!

  15. OHHH! I forgot about Cryer's Cross! That one is creepy!
    Great list!

  16. The Name of the Star has been on so many people's lists! I need to read that book - pronto! :)

  17. I love your list and the way you organized it. I think that Graveyard Book should percolate to the top of your list. It's Wonderful!

My Head is Full of Books

  18. I'm going to show my bad YA blogger self again and say that I might be one of the few people out there that hasn't read Neil Gaiman's book. *runs for cover*
