  4. I've read all of these except for four books: Incarnate, Adoration, Across The Universe and Silver Phoenix. I've got some good times in store, I guess.

(Sidebar: YAY GRACELING AND THE GIRL OF FIRE AND THORNS)
If I had to add in an author or two -- I'd recommend Robin McKinley and Diana Wynne Jones.

  5. I've only read ONE book out of all the awesome ones you listed here and that's Graceling. You can be rest assured that I shall attempt to remedy that and read some of the books on this list soon!

  6. I need to broaden my horizons with the sci-fi because I've only read Incarnate and The Adoration of Jenna Fox and LOVED them both.

  9. Great list! I love SF a bit more than Fantasy, so all of your SF list I've either read or have on my TBR list. And I have your picks for fantasy on my TBR list, too, except for Silver Phoenix and Brightly Woven. I'll have to check them out!

  10. I love that Brightly Woven is on your list. I loved so many of these books and the ones I haven't read I really need to get around to that soon.

  11. I feel like this list was made for me! I don't particularly like/read either genre. I do really want to read Graceling/Fire ... actually I want to read most of those. I have only read Brightly Woven and I loved it, that should have told me something!

  12. PROPS for Cinder and Jenna Fox, both awesome. Across the Universe is happening this year! I've had a copy for a while and just always manage to push it further down the pile! And despite being a big fantasy reader, you managed to remind me of 4 that I haven't read yet, although I have copies of them all! I'm rectifying that, too! Great list, Anna!

  15. All of these I either read and loved, or are in my TBR pile, in fact I just picked up Cinder today. I hadn't even heard of Silver Phoenix before though. It sounds fascinating, and I always appreciate having more multicultural reads on my radar.
